REGISTRATIONS CLOSE 10am FRIDAY 5th MARCH
The Cronulla Sharks Skills Development Program provides young athletes in the Shire the opportunity to take their Rugby League skills to the next level.
Now entering its 6th year, the program will be hosted at its new home, our very own Pointsbet Stadium (Shark Park). This exclusive program offers participants the same experiences as our NRL squad. Where not only will participants train where the players train, they will also get to play where the players play during pre-game & halftime at a Sharks Home Game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. (Round of home game TBA)
The program will also feature program ambassadors from our NRL squad including, Shaun Johnson, Chad Townsend, Matt Moylan, Sione Katoa, Braydon Trindall, Conor Tracey, Teig Wilton and Luke Metcalf. Who will all be coming along to selected sessions to train right beside all participants.
Our coaching staff this year will feature Cronulla Sharks club legend, Brett Kimmorley as a fulltime member of the coaching staff. The program will also include an array of coaches from the Sharks Academy program, giving participants the opportunity to access Sharks style coaching throughout the program.
The program has been updated to have an intensive focus on tackling technique, safe body positioning and core skills. The program runs for 6 sessions over 6 weeks and is the perfect preparation for the upcoming Junior League season. It is ideal for both beginners as well as experienced players looking to further develop.
The program has been designed by Cronulla Sharks Academy and Talent Identification Manager Glenn Brailey. Glenn’s experience includes 9 years at the Cronulla Sharks where he currently oversees the entire Junior Reps Program and has been directly involved with Harold Matthews, Winter Academy and Development squads. Glenn also has experience as Head Coach of the Samoa Women’s team and is the Head Coach of the Cronulla Sharks Harvey Norman Women’s team.
The Cronulla Sharks are committed to providing this professional program to all juniors seeking to improve their skills and techniques in Rugby League.
